Our Toddler Program: 2 years to potty trained 3

The daily schedule for our toddlers is a little more consistent and predictable than the infant program. For example, toddlers typically eat and sleep as a group at a specified time. Our schedules in the toddler rooms are set so that routines and transitions are timely, predictable and unhurried.

A consistent schedule helps toddlers feel more in control and thus more competent and secure, yet this schedule should be flexible enough to respond to children’s individual needs. The classrooms are designed with several distinct areas for children to explore.

The goals for our toddlers are to build autonomy, self-help skills and potty training. The activities are carefully and intentionally planned so that all children have the opportunity to be successful.
